iam riding a Lectric XP for about three months now, and I thought I’d share what stood out to me, since I know a lot of people look at these as an affordable entry point into e-bikes.
The first thing is price at around $999, I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but it has surprised me. The battery range has been consistent for daily commutes, usually giving me about 25–30 miles on mixed throttle and pedal assist before I need to recharge. If I stick mostly to pedal assist, I can stretch closer to 45 miles.
Comfort-wise, the fat tires really do smooth out cracked pavement and gravel paths. It’s not a lightweight bike (mine is about 64 lbs), so carrying it up stairs is a workout, but once it’s on the road it feels stable. The folding frame has come in handy more than I thoughtn fits in my car trunk when I need to bring it along.
One thing I didn’t expect was how quickly I started using it instead of my car for short trips. Grocery runs, quick visits, or just cruising around town it’s become my go-to. Maintenance has been minimal so far, just keeping the chain lubed and brakes adjusted.
Overall, for anyone debating if a Lectric ebike is worth the price, I’d say yes. It’s not fancy, but for under $1,000 it gets you into e-biking without cutting corners where it matters.
