iam looking closely at the Jasion EB5 electric bike, and it turns out to be one of the more practical budget-friendly options out there.
It comes with a 350 W motor that can peak around 500 W, paired with a 360 Wh removable battery. On mixed rides, you can realistically expect 25–40 miles per charge, and the top speed levels off at about 20 mph. For city commuting, that feels fast enough to keep up with traffic without going overboard.
The bike weighs just under 50 lbs, which makes it manageable compared to some heavier e-bikes. It’s built on a steel frame with 26″ puncture-resistant tires and front fork suspension, which helps smooth out bumps on daily commutes. The LCD screen is also easy to read in daylight, showing speed, battery, and assist level clearly.
It’s not perfect, of course. Assembly can take some patience, especially with the brakes and tuning the pedal assist. The throttle and assist feel a bit jumpy at times, and if you live in a very hilly area, you’ll notice the limits of the 350 W motor.
The biggest advantage is the price. The EB5 usually sells in the $380–$400 range on sites like Amazon and Walmart. At that price, you’re getting a bike that’s more than just an entry-level gimmick, it’s a functional commuter ride that can replace short car trips.
