I’ve been checking out Velowave eBikes recently, and thought I’d share what I found since a lot of people seem curious about them. Their most popular models are the Ranger 750W fat tire and the Grace step-thru, which usually sell between $1,199 – $1,599 USD, depending on discounts.
For the money, the Ranger is strong on flat roads and light trails. It can hit around 28 mph with pedal assist, and the fat tires make it feel stable even on gravel or sand. The removable battery is also a plus, especially if you want to swap or charge it indoors. The range in real use seems to be around 25–35 miles if you mix throttle and pedal assist, which is fair for this class.
But there are things to keep in mind. The bike is heavy, so carrying it upstairs or loading it into a car isn’t fun. On steep hills, the motor doesn’t always deliver the punch you’d expect from “750W.” Also, not every model has rear suspension, so if you ride on rougher paths, you’ll definitely feel it.
In short: if you’re after a solid mid-range eBike that balances price and performance, Velowave is worth considering. Just make sure you’re comfortable with the weight and that you’ll have support or parts access where you live.
